Will you all stop complaining about being "only just beaten" or "only 3rd on the list" and spare a thought for someone who has been right at the bottom now for two days in a row! ... and English is my first language! ... and I was a teenager in the 80's!  | |

I've just done Saturday's quiz and it's really difficult ... sorry guys (see first post on this thread for reasons). Sunday's will probably be hard too. Back to normal on Monday. | |

I'm so sorry guys but tomorrow is likely to be even harder, especially for us non-Americans
... back to normal on Monday though. If we continue with the quiz after next week, I may rethink whether or not to set difficult questions at the weekend. My gut feeling is that it's the fair thing to do for those not able to access Prince.org at the weekend however I don't wanna frustrate the hell out of everyone | |

Reincarnate said I can't turn the quiz off at weekends, so it will be running. However, to make it a little fairer to those who don't have PC access at home, I shall make the questions more difficult or chose more obscure question pools so that (hopefully) weekend scorers do not get really high cumulative points. (If anyone thinks this is unfair, let me know).
I don't know what the solution is. I know this place - people are like naughty schoolchildren sometimes; if I ask you all not to play at weekends I know someone will (temptation to hit that button will be mighty great!)
If it's any consolation, today's quiz is actually not nearly as difficult as I thought it was going to be. (I scored a lot better than I did in the 2 1980's quizzes for example). I think I may just keep the quiz running throughout the weekend in future and it's just tough on those that can't get to a PC. Besides, I'm not so sure I understand how the points score anyway; it seems to be that if fewer people play, less points are awarded which doesn't make it too unfair, I don't think.
