countdown to wonka heaven Ok,
so 2moz is the big day here, and i cant wait to see willy wonka, johnny depp looks like dwayne dibley but is still soooo sexy lol. I have my tickets and will be in heaven by 9pm.

Went to see it last weekend, great movie. Johnny Depp did some awesome acting.

Was i tripping for the entire film lol what a weird film its fantastic, johnny depp is soooo strange and freakishly sexy. If you guys want a film that'll make you think what is going on and laugh at the great one-liners this is the film for you ENJOY   if your trying to fail and succeed what have you done????????? | |

just been to see it...it FUCKING ROCKS!!!!! it's hilarious, classy, clever and awesome
and I must say that the gorgeous Mr Depp is the only man on the planet who can get away with that outfit and STILL manage to look hot as hell  | |

beautiful to look at, magical world, some lovely performances and yet, and yet...
i was disappointed. Depp's Wonka was an improvement in one big way on Wilder - the character was fleshed out more. There was a reason behind why he did what he did. But did that actually help at the end of the day? My biggest criticism though, was the score and the songs. WTF happened, Mr Elfman?! You are one of my biggest heroes, and I've loved practically everything you've ever done but the score here was just...blah - Elfman by numbers, or something...and the Oompa Loompa songs were intolerable, noisy and, apart from the Veruca Salt song, tuneless. 
And why did one Grandpa have to refer to 'pants' twice. Pander to the biggest market to some extent, sure, but the damn script included a fair amount of British slang already - why make a point in this case? Even the actor looked uncomfortable saying it. And Mr Burton, the emotion and the build-up to Charlie finding the ticket was wonderful, until Charlie actually did find the ticket - what was that all about? It was done way too quickly - the early film with Wilder did this much better. The emotion swelled up inside of you as he opened the winning bar. Here, that happened on the previous two "no win" bars, but curiously not the winning bar. Ok, rant over. Depp was good, mind you. | |
