Is Anybody Watching the "Good Times" Marathon on TV Land This Weekend? The marathon started at 6:00 this morning, and should run through Sunday (I'm guessing). Love this show, it always makes me laugh. Plus John Amos (the actor who plays the dad on the show) is handsome. TV Land is going to have this show airing at 10:00 pm on weeknights, gonna be sure to tune in to watch it. This show rocks! RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I had videotapes ready for this but forgot until now.
It's been on for 3 and a half hours. Are they going in chronilogical order? I hope not... because I've never seen the first show and I would have loved to see that! What episode did they begin with? anyone know?

I know some people denounce this show for the JJ stereotype ... but each show always has a serious urban issue at it's center and is well acted
I respect that. | |

Me too! I'm pissed that I might have missed the episode where John Amos died (off camera of course leaving us with the pop culture line that is more memorable than "Dynomite"....you know it....).

Same here! I watched it as a kid and I've had it on pretty much all day while I've been home and am loving it again so much. One of the best things about this show (there are many, I know) is that it has real heart.
