I've never been so insulted in my life I'm at this store shopping for clothes with my 2 daughters, 2 nieces, and 1 nephew. And I have to tell you I was having one of those days where I was feeling really good about myself. Had on these cute, tight denim capris, new sandals, etc. So, we're at the counter paying and my 7 year old nephew is beside me. I was telling the sales lady where we're from (NH, but we're vacationing in AZ). I told her that I had to come out and spend time with my little cutie, and I patted my nephew's head. The sales lady then says to me, "Is he your grandson?" I had all I could do to not crawl over the counter and strangle the bitch. I said to her, "Do I look old enough to have a grandson?" And she says, "Well, you can't always tell. Do I look old enough to have 15?" And I wanted to say YES. She had long gray hair, an old face...she looked every bit of 55 or more. Needless to say, my afternoon was a bit tarnished. Thankfully my little Darlings were smart enough to keep telling me how preposterous it was that anyone would ever think that of me. I have trained them so well.....

Ex-Moderator | You know, that's kinda like the rule of never assuming someone is pregnant. If you don't know, do NOT mention it. |

this might be more a comentary on the fact that more women are having them young and their kids having them young etc....you can be a grandmother by 30 nowadays. If you have a kid at 15 and your kid has a kid at 15, it's possible 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Come on, are you really so inscensed by someone you'd never met before, and may very well never met again saying that?
It's just a number, the only power you give it is your own.

If you've "never been so insulted" in your life, then things ain't that bad. I only wish that was the worst somebody could say about me!

You mean you didn't!? I would have jumped at the opportunity. No, I didn't. She totally invited an insult, yet I couldn't do it. I said NO and feigned surprise, just to make her feel good.

I'm sure you could find a picture that illustrates it better than words. It was a cross between looking like I was just punched in the stomach and also like I ate a bad clam.

Oh girl!
Today I took my boyfriend to pick up his car, and the man at the desk asked him if I was his daughter. He was serious.. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^
