you know, I'm honestly surprised at how much I ENJOYED this film. Maybe it was just a nice contrast to the darkness of Batman and War of the Worlds (the last 2 films I saw) but I thought FF was good FUN. It didn't take itself seriously, the cast was good and the film had a lot of laughs (some not intentional, but whatevs).

I think for me, the lightness of the film made it possible for me to forgive the glaring plot-holes. As opposed to W.O.T.W. which took itself so seriously that a few poorly handled plot points ruined the movie for me...

I actually enjoyed the FF movie. I had very low expectations going in, and the film was no masterpiece, but it was still entertaining. My niece nailed it when she said it was like a really great pilot for a TV series, rather than a feature film. The characters of Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm were NAILED! Sue and Reed were weak (but at least Alba was easy on the eyes).

Doc Doom was the biggest disappointment, since they essentially just copied everything about his storyline from the Green Goblin in Spider-Man. Too bad, since he is one of the greatest comic villians of all time.

Still, it was a fun diversion that captured the more lighthearted feel of the FF comic. It was far from perfect, but it wasn't bad. They could easily do a kick-ass sequel, now that the exposition is out of the way. Bring on Galactus, I say!!!!
