SHould i go to the movies alone today like a hermit

I want to see Land of the dead now cause a lot of good movies will be opening the next 3 weeks. I haven't been to the movies by myself since 1997 believe it or not. Always had a date or my girl/boyfriend. I know 2 people who would jump on the chance to go with me though but i want a certain someone to but they working a lot now and give me the run around. Anyone ever been to the movies alone.

Going to the movies would make you the opposite of a hermit, because you're leaving the house..lol nod

I have, twice as a matter of a fact and it was nice. I went to see what I wanted too and didn't have some one talking to me or distracting me from the movie lol. It's not as bad or scary as you think.....besides it made me feel like I can be comfortable with myself, knowing I can do something alone wink

Going to the movies alone can be great. Especially if you're seeing a movie that you want to see, but you think could really suck and you don't want to be responsible for dragging someone to a movie that really sucks.

For example, I have a free ticket to see "Bewitched," but I don't think I want to force anyone else to see it with me. I'll prolly sneak out to see it later by myself.

I'm always much more in to a movie when I see it alone, too.

I saw "Purple Rain" by myself many, many, many years ago. My dad dropped me off, but first cleared it with the ticket window, gave me some money for snacks and returned after the show.

I like going to the movies with my boyfriend or with friends, but I also enjoy going by myself. Less distraction, no sharing of the treats, and it's a good time to relax. When I do see a movie by myself, it's usually on a weekday night so that makes it even less stressful.

It's better than having to go and see the same movies TWICE (with two different people). I wouldn't advise it no no no!

Go alone!

I hear you.
I went and saw it with 2 of my little guy friends when I was 15.
Afterwards the 3 of us were all looking at each other a bit differently.
It was weird as hell.

CO-SIGN, went Sunday and was just glad I had a few drinks to ease the pain of wasting $9 on a piece of shit.

Back to the thread, I always go to the movies alone and out to eat. I've never understood what the big deal is. Bring a book and an ipod and watch/eat, sometimes it's better than going with someone.

I've only gone to the movies by myself only once. I wanted to see "Raiders of the Lost Ark" when it first opened and didn't have anyone to go with, so I said screw it and went anyway.
