Ever seen Neurology at the NHS? It's god awful.

I had to talk to a consultant following my brother's seizure and he was a fucking cockmuncher. Couldn't speak english and contradicted himself over 6 or 7 times when arguing why my bro should be put on medication. Needless to say, we didn't take his word for it.

They also told a friend that exercise would not stop his high blood pressure. He thought it would so did a massive fitness regime. His bp is now in the "very healthy" category so what the fuck were they talking about.

yeah, i have. Two of my best friends are registrars in neurology. Sorry your bro' had a bad experience though, fella. Most of the people working in the NHS are legends, and as an institution i'm very proud of it. My family has had wonderful treatment & care from the NHS, as well as one incident which wasn't so great, but which got resolved in the end.

Fucking hell, you have to be kidding. lol Apart from Major's desperate pumping of money into the system in the last couple of years of the Tories' time in government in a desperate attempt to save his skin, they totally fucked the NHS - starved it of funds, screwed the environment and pay of NHS staff and steered decent health services towards the rich.

They sucked. barf

I'm sorry to hear that.

There is good and bad in every profession and the NHS is no exception.

I worked in a hospital last year and the staff were amazing. The only thing that worried me were the amount of meetings the matron and senior staff had to attend - I was sure that all the meetings can't have been necessary.

But the patient care was amazing.

Also, from my own experience, I am on drugs daily and because of my condition, they are all free. I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for the NHS.

You don't really appreciate the NHS until you live somewhere else, it is an unbelievable asset and we should do all we can to protect it. Unfortunately cut backs by the Tories forced all the decent docs into the private sector and now the system is overbureaucratic run by managers rather than docs. But it could be LOT worse.

Oh, Zelaria, sorry to hear your pain.
Happy is he who finds out the causes for things.Virgil (70-19 BC). Virgil was such a lying bastard!

that's something you do not hear in the US. The drug situation is crazy. That is why everyone is getting their drugs from Canada.
I work for a clinical research company, which gets paid by the drug manufacturers. On a daily basis when we ask the subjects what meds they are on, they say one of two things. I do not take them as I am supposed to because they are too expensive or I get my drugs from Canada, it's the only way I can afford them! They are mainly retired ppl and it is very sad to think that is what I have to look forward to. By time I retire it will be way worse. I am sure by then the US will ban meds from Canada.
I go to the doctor very frequently because I have some health issues that the docs here are not smart or equipped enough to fix. I get so frustrated because they could probably figure out right away what is causing my problems but my health insurance does not cover the needed tests.
They do not cover simple tests such as hair sample tests for minerals and elements. These are things that cause so many different illnesses if they are too high or too low. Instead, they would rather stick you on some really expensive meds to address the symptoms and create more side effects so they can give you more meds to compound the problem!!!
AHHHHH!
I certainly hope that there is better healthcare in other states. I know that where I have lived in Florida, the healthcare sucks!

in my experience the US health system is pretty horrible in general, though I only say that from the mental health perspective. sorry to hear you're having such a hard time of it.

you sound incredibly frustrated. sounds like you really need someone to talk to....don't turn to drugs. they don't solve anything and you will end up feeling worse in the long run.

peace.

Zelaira

Here is the DEAL..... There are TOO MANY OLDER PEOPLE with HEALTH PROBLEMS....They haven't been COMPASSIONATE or SYMPATHETIC putting me with WOMAN SUFFERING from what HAPPENED with ME! INSTEAD they BAKER ACT you and give you pills. YOU tell them you just want your MEDICAL PROBLEM SOLVED and too MOVE away...OTHER, than that you are FINE! More peop-le should EXERCISE and EAT RIGHT. DAMN , I don't SMOKE, DRINK EXCESSIVELY or DRUG BINGE....Sure, I think I'm Too FAT ALWAYS but BASICALLY I"m NOT EXERCISE OBSESSED. Ya know NOT EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE A BABY EITHER.. I DO BELIEVE that if YOU CANNOT RAISE A CHILD PUT THEM UP FOR ADOPTION IN GOODn HOMES WITH LOVING PARENTS. It's a WOMAN'S CHOICE...It's HER BODY and HER LIFE.... HEALTH of MOTHER MUST BE EVALUATED. NO MAN SHOULD FORCE a WOMAN to BEAR a CHILD. TRUTH!!!!! Take CARE OF YOUR OWN SELF BEFORE YOU CAN TAKE CARE OF ANOTHER. You CAN BE SO CAREFUL AND MOVERS CAN DAMAGE YOUR BELONGINGS, A DOCTOR CAN LIE AND DEFORM YOU. HOW DO THESE DOCTORS KNOW WHAT YOU CAN HANDLE WITHOUT KILLING YOURSELF? THEY ARE DISHONEST and GREEDY NOT CARING ONLY for the ALMIGHTY $$$$. HOW CAN I BELIEVE IN GOD ANYMORE? JESUS? WHAT A JOKE. This HAPPENED to ME as did Troubles here whyen I went for MEDICAL HELP. It's NOT FUNNY..STRESS KILLS! I've been getting SEIXURES EVERY DAY.... This is a CRUEL STATE. PEOPLE are NASTY and MEAN. I've ALWAYS TRIED to DO the RIGHT THING and BE PERFECT. This DOCTOR SAID NOBODY is PERFECT well after 12,000 dollars I DAMN WELL SHOULDN"T be DEFORMED or NEAR SUICIDE NOW SHOULD I? GOD??? HOW CAN I BELIEVE....
