hi everyone!

(for those of you who got my email...you can disregard this post..its the same thing basically)

As most of you know, and some of you dont, I have been struggling working my job as a 911 operator for quite some time. It has created a lot of stress, anxiety, and other health problems for me. Coupled with some homelife and personal life issues, this was a really hard year for me in many ways.

Now, as some of you know, (and some dont, so im going to type a little here) I have been interviewing for a position with a non-profit organization called WomenVenture. An organization dedicated to the empowerment of women in the workplace. A place that offers many classes and has many oppurtunities. Business developement, career planning and counseling, life assessment, getting women into jobs that are typically viewed as men only jobs, they offer loans to women starting up their own business's, they help women get their business plans written. The perfect place for me to recieve the education that i will need to open my own store/run my own business someday. Which is what my real dream is. well to get to the point here....

I was offered the position yesterday afternoon!!!! I accepted and will start July 5th!! (so I have the first 4th of july in 3 years OFF!!!) YAY!

While this job is taking a huge pay cut....a 6 dollar an hour pay cut to be exact....I will finally be doing something that feels right. I dont care about the money right now, because no price can be tagged on happiness i have learned. I am going to be making a difference. I am going to be helping people, and at the same time im in the perfect environment to learn what i need to know to pursue my own dream. And all of those classes are availble to me free of charge. So its like free school.

Another bonus here...this position is going to be regular hours....Monday- Friday 9-5. So I will be back in the world again, people!!!!! no more forcing myself to sleep, to stay up, or eat, or turn off the ringer, or any of that shit! i can get up with the sun like a normal person! YAY! (for those of you who didnt know...i have been working the night shift for the past 4 months and it was really hard on me)
