It's summertime. How do I know this?

• my coffee's on ice
  
• watermelon is the best thing, ever
  
• I have burnt nose and shoulders
  
• I tried on bathing suits (ugh)
  
• I can't consume enough ice cream (oh wait... that's always)
  
• volleyball!
  
• barbecue non-stop

Oh my. Do I know you? I don't recognize the name.

I know its summer because

- I wore a pair of shorts for the first time in public this weekend

- my daughter wakes me up saying "simmin mommie simmin"

- I havent wore a shirt with sleeves in over a week

- Water and Koolaid are the best drinks on earth

I went simmin' Friday. I'm burnt like a barbecued frito.

- dark beer is out of my fridge

- my daughters out fit consists of a tshirt and pullups
