I do. It kinda puts me in a trance state. I tune in and out at different points, appreciating the lyric or melody that lingers by.

Everytime I walk into a room, I always hear The Empirial March from Starwars playing in my head.

i listened to a song called "bone bomb" from the new brian eno album three times last night, which is the first time in a long time i've listened to a song on repeat. the music was just so intense, i wanted to hear it again and again, and when i started piecing together the lyrics, i realized what a really tragic, haunting song it is.

I realize that I only employ the over and over practice with reflective or melancholy songs. Sometimes a good fun happy song I'll play twice, but over and over it's just sad songs. "Sad songs say so much..."

Being a musician, i'm focusing on different things (or sometimes the same thing) each go 'round.

My 16 year old son has now picked up this habit.
This past Saturday he listened to Third Stone From The Sun by Jimi Hendrix non-stop, ALL DAY!
Didn't notice the smell of pot coming from his room so I left him alone.

I have been stuck on Mariah Carey's "Fly Like A Bird". I listen to it in the morning, in my car... and while I am at my dest at work. Then... back in my car driving home, when I get home and it all starts over the next day. I keep the repeat button on. It is not a sad song, which brings to mind... I do this with songs that have a personal meaning, one that inspires me through words, sound and overall feel.

This song has been a constant for weeks now.

yes. however i haven't played this song in ages, but i've been hearing it everywhere. so it's been stuck in my head for over a week now. and NO it's NOT Kylie's "Can't Get You Out Of My Head". Anyway..it appears that this song is following me around for a reason.
