well, okay, i know a lot of people warned me against dating an addict, but i continued to anyway.

and at least, so far, it's been good, really good.

he's a little relationship phobic, but believe me he has his reasons, his last relationship was a fuck-over the likes of which i haven't even seen in movies. so, at least for now, he's my non-boyfriend, the guy i am dating.

i am so proud of him, he has now been heroin free for 17 weeks, and is about to lower his methadone dosage.

we've both been exploring our faith together, attending church regularly as he finds himself coming back to god, and i find myself really listening for the first time in my life.

we've been having a really positive effect on one another too. he's gotten me more relaxed about not fretting over everything (thanks to my jewish roots), and i have him not trying to kill himself flying down the highway at 95.(he is mr. adventure)

we even went on vacation together towards the end of last month. and despite the fact we both look like shit or drowned rats in the pic, here we are:

17 weeks! Very good. Sounds like he is on the road that leaves that stuff behind.

Good luck with the religion stuff. Spirituality and religion can be good things. And you seem pretty balenced on that front anyways.

And yes you both look like two wet rats. You should do something about that.
