"Do You Copy" Record labels are looking for Pirates not those who copy from the web,
but those who copy from thy neighbor. Dubbing from thy neighbor"casual piracy" is the leading source of unauthorized music dist. Sony BMG Entertainment plans to copy-protect all CDs sold in the U.S. by the end of the year. EMI will do such in the U.S. & U.k. in a matter of weeks. The copy-protected disk limit the numbers of times you can make copies of music CDs or add extra songs to music mixes. The big Problem with Copy Protection will be for those who are iPod and iTunes users. So far Apple will not license its Fair Play rights-management software. So Some Copy- Protected music won't work with iPod or iTunes without doing long work a rounds.

This is ridiculous. The US was the last of the major markets to shun copy protection. Thankfully, there is always at least 1 country/market where a record is not copy protected, and that's where I'll order it from.
