U.K. Slang

I want to learn all the different sayings and phrases that people use in the U.K.

My favorite word I believe is SLAPPER. Daft is another favorite word of mine.

I know there are tons more. Let's hear them.

I'm soooo loving this thread. I'm a total Anglophile.

Honorable mention to Senik who's teaching me a lot of slang on the down-low.

I will use the odd British word with my boyfriend because there aren't any really good translations into American English. Like "munter" or "munting" (really fucking ugly) and "slag" (slut). I love how they use "nice" to describe food and "fit" to describe attractiveness and "you allright?" as a greeting.

What's the word to describe "dressing up"? I'm having a brain fart...
I mean, like, where is the sun?

pillock = A friendly insult of sorts derived from the word pillicock. A pillicock being a pig's penis used in an early form of badminton.

A friend of mine who was American, a few years back now asked me, "how was the meal?" and I said "nice" and he freaked out, "nice?" "nice? " He seemed really put out. lol
