Carpenter Ants Do you ever get a carpenter ant in your house? I get them every spring and summer, when it gets really warm outside, that seems to be when they come out. The weird thing about carpenter ants is that they are difficult to kill. If you cut them in half (which I have done in an attempt to squish them), the front end of the ant still tries to run away from you! Freaky shit, I tell ya.  RIP, mom.
