OH MY GOSH! CULT 80s Horror Movie...SLEEPAWAY CAMP - 1983 Ok, so someone at work told me if I like slasher films then I have to rent a "Cult 80s" slasher movie called "Sleepaway camp" - I was kind of like "I've already seen Friday the 13th" but she insisted I would like it. So I rent it from Netflix and pop it in about an hour or so ago...pretty cheesy, 80s slasher film with horrible acting and some male camp director who shorts are so short and tight you can see just how tiny his penis is.
I'm getting to the point... so I'm sitting here typing away about how much this movie stinks and I've fast forwarded through most of it and then I get to the big grand finale and HOLY SHIT! What an ending! First off...has anyone seen this? If so, without giving too much away, did the ending kind of freak you out?!! I recommend the movie to any slasher film fan just for the twist at the end... I'm seriously feeling disturbed right now.

I have only seen Sleepaway Camp2 which was pretty good! My video store holds the first one but EVERYTIME i wanna rent it it's GONE!!! Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Well when you get your hands on it - watch the first 3 or 4 scenes on the DVD and then skip to the end - the middle is pretty much a waste of 75 minutes or so.  Let the rain come down...17 days.... | |

I rented this in 8th grade and watched it with my grandpa. Yeah the end is a shocker!

Everytime I turn the T.V. on Part 2 is on. I laugh through the whole thing. Is that the one where a girl gets thrown into the Porta-pottie? Or was that Part 3?

I remember seeing the video boxes for these films, and thinking they looked horrible back then. I remember one had a girl on the cover, and in her bag she had a chainsaw, a hockey mask and Freddy's glove! It didn't even try to hide the fact that it was ripping off every other horror movie from the time period!
I have a friend who is really into these films, and he really wants me to watch them, but I'm just not all that interested. So, tell me how it ends! I don't plan on ever seeing it, so you can spoil it for me!

I used to rent this one over and over again when I was young. (my parents weren't home)
Now that I think about it, was it NORMAL for an 11 year old girl to love a movie like this?  I would rent all the slasher films and watch them after school when my parents were at work. I saw the the SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE 2 I remember laughing through that whole movie... the killer was dead rock star and i remember this scene where he's about to kill a girl but first he takes is guitar (I thinkit had a drill on the end) and performs a song. it was so awesomely bad! Let the rain come down...17 days.... | |
