Do you or someone you know have a...

disability?

1) What is the most important issue that you have to face?

2) Have you ever experienced discrimination because of your disability?

Seriously, I know someone who suffers from mental illness, but there's been no discrimmination.

There's a lot of misunderstanding out there about it, but that's different than outright discrimmination.

I have a disability myself, I have been taken advantage of more times than I care to remember.

When people sense they have the slightest advantage over someone they do some of the most horrible things, its an ugly sight to see.

I have a cousin who can't walk because he was born without the cartilage in the spine. Not sure what the medical term is, but his mom was told that he won't ever walk. It affects his speech...he can't. It also impairs his movement of his arms and neck.

His mom does really well with him. I believe he goes to therapy a few days a week. I have never had to deal with the everyday dealings of him, but his immediate family seems to manage very well.

Smooches;)

They need more than a good flame. This person was not physically hurtful in any way, but they treated me as if I did not know anything. When someone asked me a question, they jumped into the conversation and answered the question for me. I am not friends with them anymore.
