How in the hell am I supposed to see Star Wars III now?

I am dying to see Star Wars but how do I tell my wife that I am going to need to leave her this weekend with the 11 day old so I can go sit in a movie theater for 3 hours? She cannot go, I cannot take my 3-year-old because the movie is supposedly so intense. So how am I going to be able to see this one first weekend like I have seen every other Star Wars since Empire.

Helllllppppp!!!

Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

make a trade

do soemthing nice for her

like make a coupon that she can redeem later, saying something about how she can use this at anytime for an evening out while you stay and watch the kids

Tell the bleeding truth. If she loves you and knows who she married, then there should be no problem, now should there?

I want her to see the movie too! Problem is she is breastfeeding and the baby eats like every two hours. She is not a big fan of whipping out lunch, so to speak, in the middle of the Anakin/Obi-Wan battle scene.

Oh, if only I had breasts I could be so much more helpful...

oh huey but of course... biggrin

he's not saying he won't go - just a wonderful acknowledgement that he feels bad

hey new daddy - you know the way to show your woman that you appreciate being able to see the movie...

you be the one to jump when the baby cries
you be the one to get up to get the baby for nighttime feedings
you be the one to change the baby's 2 am diaper

and your woman will appreciate it so much you will feel no guilt at leaving her for a couple of hours

(lets see another picture btw biggrin )
doveShe couldn't stop crying 'cause she knew he was gone to stay dove

Do what I did.
Go see a midnight showing while everyone is asleep. She should be cool with staying home with the kids at that late at night while you go see a movie. My wife was cool with it.

Just don't do it mid-afternoon when the baby is crying and the 3 year old is having a fit because it's nap time. That wouldn't be cool to dip right about then.

My son is two years, 8 months and my daughter is 8 months, so I feel ya. It's hard to be self-indulgent with parental responsibility.

The kids are playing rotating insomniacs. Last night the baby slept pretty soundly and the three year old woke up at 3:00 and refused to go back to sleep.

No way! Gotta see it at the movie theater. It's a tradition. It will lose its luster on video on my crappy TV.

Well tell her if you see the 11:00 or 12:00 showing, you'll be back in time for when the three year old wakes up!

Just tell your wife that you really want to see it and try to give her these options to make it easy on her. She should be cool with it.

Is there a chance that ur wife could express the milk?
Go to an evening session so ur 3 y.o is asleep for the night & get a close friend/family member to come over and babysit

Your wife would probably love a break too and it would be nice
if u both went together.
WHY SHOULD I DO THAT, WHEN I CAN DO THIS
