WOW! at the beautiful photograhy and WOW! at Jules in her shorts The heat looks immense at the Canyon I bet it was a scorcher even in the shade! I'm not really a hiker but I'd loved to give a trek like that a go esp. with someone as adventurous and bold as you! You never allow yourself to miss an opportunity to do something amazing do you? Even coming off the back of a bout of pneumonia like you did. Gotta hand it to you Julie, you're one tough cookie You told me that the place was going to be a picture paradise and your photographs truely don't disappoint. Again, WOW! For me personally it's always a delightful treat to see your adventures embracing nature in full technicolour Thank you Julie for beaming your sunshine into my day Heat does not wilt us Arizona People. ~Smile. In that picture you reposted... it was actually cool with that mist coming from the falls, it actually was so powerful it created a breeze within the canyon... I had Goosebumps all over. The hike out on Sunday was a bit warm and it fatigued me some... that plus I started my hike with no breakfast, not a good idea. I ate some lunch before my final climb to the top, thank goodness... for I needed all the fuel I could get. Stop looking at my legs. Ugh. And you are so welcome to visit anytime my OrgSoulMate.

All are welcome, so pack your bags and head to Arizona... just not in the months of June-August when it reaches beyond 110 degrees, the record I believe was in the 120 degrees F.
Although, if you insist... so be it. Beautiful day everyone and I shall return back to work. ~Hugs.

That must have been an incredible experience, both spiritually and also physically when I think of the routes you had to climb . Thank God the horse survived , when you watch something like that happen I guess you really feel the power of nature even more. Everytime I have the opportunity to spend time in an environment that is "pure powerful nature" (sorry my english is not good enough to describe it better ) it comes so clear suddenly how small we are no matter how many big cities we build or how often we fly to the moon. Like in the Sting song "How Fragile We Are". Moments like that make it somehow easier to accept life with all the sufferings and pain it also brings. Thank you so much for sharing, Julie
So true Martina, about how fragile and uninhibited life can be. Each day I totally live in this awareness, that within each breath we take, no matter where we are... literally anything can happen in this world. I adore you and Peter, please tell him I send my hellos. ~Endless Hugs... All the way to Austria. By the way Martina... as I was taking a shower ~Smile... I was wondering... "Has the profound genius of a Photographer Peter been to the Grand Canyon?" What and how he can capture such beauty... leaves me wondering and wets my appetite to see some of his work right about now. I was also thinking about my pathetic Catepillar and Peter's Micro shots enter my mind as well. My silly Digital... for crying out loud! I can easily spend hours, days, months manipulating the color, contrast, lighting... etc... although I have yet to even attempt. Now my mind is going... ~Smile. I will be in LaLa land for some time. ... Anyways...

Ya know, I am sitting here at work waiting for six o clock to hit. I have been sick with a stomach virus for the past two days. A lady that works in another dept gave me a green tea packet that has since taken away most of the pain... Anyway, I got on the org and decided to look at your pics. All I can say is: God is most definitely awesome! I sat here and literally transported myself to the canyon and the waterfall. I felt the cool mist, the sun, and got tickled by the cute little caterpillar... I feel so much better! I was showing my customers your pics too. * they know I don't do any work * Thank you and thank God. You made my day.
Shake....shake, shake, shake.

I know I'm late at the party.... I have never been to the Grand Canyon, not even close... But one day I will. Definitely. You photos are beautiful, Julie
