Who were you in the 'School Play' and did you relish in your role?

I was in theatre for many years, I can't remember all my roles...
But I will say I once played a wheel-chair bound Canadian living in the US dressed as a spanish bull-fighter with a phony-sounding British accent. It was a weird play.

Ok! I know I'm going to get a lot of teasing about this. hmm
2nd grade we put on the play "The Ugly Duckling".....and I was the ugly duckling. boxed

The one thing I remmeber about this was we had these cardboard cut outs of the animals that we all played. I had to change into the swan behind one of the tree props and then jump out saying "I'm a swan!! I'm a swan!!!!" redface

I just want to die now. confused

I was in a School Christmas play when I was seven, I think. I was the son in a family and there were two other kids from my class that played my sister and brother. We basically just had two scenes, but we had still rehearsed like fortyeleven times since there were going to be around three hundred people in the audience.

In one scene, we were supposed to drop a box with wooden toy blocks that were supposed to spread out over the floor so that we could have our dialogue while we were picking them up. On the day of the performance we dropped the box but the damn blocks stayed in it! There was a breathless moment of sheer terror and confusion before, suddenly, the girl who played the sister kicked the box so that all the blocks came flying out. We could then continue the scene.

To this day, I hold the highest respect for that girl for doing that. If I'd meet her today, I'd hug her and thank her. smile

I know how you feel. I was Mama Mouse in one play and had to carry around a big cheese. Couldn't they at least have let me be Papa Mouse? mad
