Seeing as how I was sending a batch of orgnotes, this will take care of it in one fell swoop.

My kitty died tonight. I think this is the hardest thing I've ever had to do. And yet I made the decision fairly quickly. She's had kidney disease for a few years now and had been doing quite well despite it all. She'd grown a bit more lethargic over the last few weeks. She stopped eating much over the last few days and then tonight when I got home from work I realized she hadn't eaten or drank any water at all. I brought her to the emergency vet and, well, we decided to put her to sleep.
She was a very good kitty. I've had her since I was 11 years old. Tonight will be the first time in nearly 19 years I've had to sleep alone.

For those that don't know, endorphin74 and his boyfriend are absolute angels. They picked us up and brought us to the vet (as I was too much a mess to drive) and came in the room with me to say goodbye.



Anyway, just letting it out a little. And saving a bit of orgnote space...

I've had 2 cats put to sleep in the past 8 years. Never gets easier.

Thanks, all for your kind words. I'm still a bit of a wreck. I can't eat, I can't sleep, I can't stop crying and I've even been vomiting for good measure.

Im sure Kitty died an old and happy cat because she had a warm and caring owner.
