yeah, thats awesome. I seriously put him up as high as gene kelly. For energy wise anyway.

No one could touch those running man moves he did. Jacko didn't even try 'cause he knew he'd lose.

Too right. "to legit to quit" had some awesome moves as did "this is the way we roll".

I do those moves in clubs and people, honestly say "what the fuck are u doing? Thats awesome". Hey they may be stoned but they forget those hammer videos. They've only sen "you cant touch this". He did more moves then that video.

Give hammer props everyone mad

props to Hammer.

Very talented and sadly underappreciated and viewed as a flash in the pan

LOL Nah this was his first:-

then....."please hammer don't hurt 'em", then

What tracks u like off "too legit to quit"? Out of all the hammer albums, many say that one is the worst. The vinyl had a couple of extra tracks, what u format u got it in?

He went all gangster (sell out wink ) on 1994's "funky headhunter"

I have leant this album to people who love biggie, tupac, method man and they love some of this album. Few may remember "pumps and a bump". Other great, slamming tracks included "its all good" (thats where the saying came from wink ) and the ever so funky "dont stop".

People who like james brown should like hammer period. mad Hammer was funky above all else. "funky headhunter" has the best flows hammer ever did. Very good album.

You know he wasn't "bad" as a rapper, and he was an oustanding performer.

But my God, his marketting was oversaturated. I mean, an MC Hammer cartoon?

Dayum.

Yep, all from that album. Man u r openminded. People wont even try that shit even if is for free! OMG I love all those tracks (and no I do not love all of them).

"living in a world like this" may get hated on as hammer goes all sociallly concious, but its a nice track. "find urself a friend" is just so funky. Love the bridge. "Do not pass me by" is awesome. Even my hammer hating dad loves that one.

"this is the way we roll" is james brown funky with the horns and all. One of my fav songs of all time. Infact, that album uses real horns which means the tracks do not date as much.....

....."sounds like another one of those funky mc hammer cuts to me money". Lots of chanting.....superb music video aswell.

Andykeen, u made my day. It's been a long time since anyone liked specific hammer tracks that wern't the famous ones. Peace and thanx!

I loved this show as a kid (and even the new kids on the block one)..hammer had magic shoes and he danced to save the day. What a concept biggrin

OMG I sooooo want this

On a serious note, hammer did get accused by everybody of as u said by saturating the market. Hammer tried hard to be all things to all ages, and in the end, no one took him seriously enough when he did have something more serious to say (God I need a thesaurus)

Ah, I said energy. U look at music videos back then. It was a great time (if not the best) for videos. Budgets got big and everyone was dancing. Hammer was by far the best out there. Janet jackson was second in this era.

Even now, dancers just don't seem to have the energy hammer had.

So really hammer was quite unique. If only u could actually buy a hammer concert! It will sadly never happen. If anyone has one, u must orgnote me.

I love gene kelly. I really put him in the same catorgory when it comes to energy. Bobby Brown sorta had it too in hois prime. U know, when u watch them dance and they just have the attitude of "LOOK AT ME, I CAN DANCE SUCKA" sorta look.
