Your friends from over the sea Do your foreign friends say and do things and/or have character traits you find stereotypical of their nationality? Or do they surprise you by how uncharacteristic they are of their nationality?
How and why?! | |

I love and adore my overseas friends specifically the dutch & british ones.
They're attitudes and wit are incredible. They're more liberal, more open, and overall more interesting to me. Don't get me wrong--I love America, but when we thought we where whitty enough to redo "The Office" that was the end for me.

I don't think they all have those traits, but a lot do.
For example a lot (not all) of my American friends seem to have very weird views of what goes on outside the US. As if it's not another continent, but another planet.

I hail from New Zealand and am currently in the US. My snese of humour is 2 dry and 2 quick. I found myself laughing out loud at LA Airport when I saw a group of 'Cowboys' walk past me, they were dressed in the typical Texan style I know from TV, The thing that amazed me though, was that one guy saw my NZ passport and asked me if I was a kiwi? He then told me how he had spent 9 months in my country once and would love 2 back one day. He even knew the name of my home town. 2 spooky !!! So that's what I get 4 stereotyping.
Other than that, I have been greeted and welcomed here with open arms everywhere I go, a mosy joyful experience thus far... Be Joyful
