CDs, books and photos are about the only things I keep. Every time I move I end up throwing out a dumpster worth of things.

Although... I still have boxes and a closet full of clothes in storage at my parents house. Stuff I don't wear (or don't fit into anymore sad ) that I know someday I may want. Lots of vintage stuff when I was a crazy dressing teen.

Oh, and old journals. Those are always good for a look-through every few years or so.

I have the used condom from the first time I ever had sex in my old diary.
I am feeling like Monica Lewinsky right now.

I was thinking of that song too....the only thing I keep is a few old letters. smile

...letters littered with little lewd pictures
drawn by the ghost of woody guthrie
who would use your big thick hand
just to draw one two for me
and i think of your letters as love letters
which is how i think of songs
in that it is the writing of them
that tends to carry us along...

probably, but they go hand in hand sometimes.

and the chance of me ever having a clear out is a big fat zero, as you should know. lol

Teacher

I have saved stuff from this and that past experience, but lately I'm throwing as much as possible away. It's not that I don't want to be reminded, it's just that I'm so far away from who I was back then that I can't even relate to those events. I have to admit it took me a while to take down the pics of Christian, who I lived with for 4 years...they're all gone now though woot!

I have kept a diary every year 4 the past 20 years, I was a kid when I started, my first crush, first kiss, first drink, first EVERYTHING are contained in those books. I also have kept birthday cards and have a collection of family photos, I don't really know what 2 do with the diaries in the end, I never wish 4 anyone 2 read them, 2 much incrimination (I haven't exactly been an angel). Now that I am looking 2 immigrate 2 the US, maybe I will hold some kind of ceremonial burning and leave my past behind me, drinking will be mandatory biggrin
