I got told off by my housemate/landlord for smoking in my room. I feel bad because I shouldnt have done it and well I find it hard to let things go when Im told off. Can you let things go when you get a bollocking?

I hate it too. Even if I know I'm in the wrong. I cannot take criticism at all.
But, I can own up to mistakes. And will apologize as needed.

he he! They've put up do this and do that notes all over the house. There's one in the bathroom that says 'remember to flush the toilet after use...thanks'. I find that really anal and patronising. I think someone just forgot once and well you just feel cheeky to get it taken down. I find it embarassing if I have a friend over.

I feel like some kind of leper now when I'm smoking, especially in public. It's not cool anymore to be smoking.

It sucks.

Awwww JD, I know how you feel about these things. Just try to let go of it, you can only control what hasn't happened yet, what already passed is over and done with. I know how you feel though, I'm an expert at the "what if I'd" or "what if I hadn't"

Someone recently posted a sign on the laundry room door where I live: "Please stop slamming doors!" I noticed that it wasn't up there for very long, and someone took it down. Think they got pissed that the sign was there in the first place.
