that's gross. i had my apartment broken into a few years back, and even though they didn't take anything i couldn't live without, it was just a violating feeling to think that someone was rummaging through my stuff. i hope the cops catch the creep(s) responsible. hug

Still waiting for the police. I can't imagine they are busy.

Agreed, it is entirely the fact they were near an entrance to this house that bugs me! Freaky! As for the rest of it I am not that bothered but that they were so close to me and the kids shake

damn!!!!! I think we should set up secret mousetraps in various places as well as nets and other traps then lure them in by leaving the garage door half way open barely exposing something attractinve they would want to steal such as electronics or perhaps just a bag of money/gold coins... and when we capture those farking bastages we can either seek out the bike and other missing items or if they escape at least we know a few hidden mouse traps may have snapped their fingers.

That feeling of being violated was something I never fathomed. I understood after my house got hit! It really sucks!

goes to show even in those areas people be plottin! can you believe my house was once hit by someone I thought was a friend of mine... I figured out it was an inside job w/out the cops cuz of the things that were missing. They left hints.. I used to keep all of my prince cd's apart from my other music... they took everything but the prince cd's... then I noticed a few other electronics were missing but the thing that narrowed it all down was they took the hookah pipes my pops had recently sent from the old country so I had more of an idea who it could be and guess what ... it was exactly who I thought it was! I was pissed! mad

Ok so they got a lot of music. A few things got dropped.

Richards mixes fell away woot!

I replaced a Fleetwood Mac greatest hits double album and the idiot got that.

They got some Sade... some Rod Stewart and Ray Charles.

I have been listening to an odd mix up lattley...

My Angie Stone is broken as is my NIN.

It's funny we pass through an existance where material possessions can be lost in such manner, but let a little light in and consider the possibility that the 'thieves' need for these 'belongings' was far greater than the need of the original 'owner'.

Your loosing me on this one. I live in an affluent neighborhood. According to the police so do the kids that (likely) did this. Hunger and survival are not prevalent issues in the US where welfare is readily available so if sustenance was the angle no no no! I aint buying it.

I can't give a hoot about the material possessions. It happened to be a bike my daughter never rides anyway and if I were concerned I could easily plead the music back into my collection around here for next to nothing. My peace of mind isn't stirred much. I figure it was a couple of teens on a dumb ass kick. Likely they will grow into responsible citizens. ( I'd love to thump them on the back of the head while retorting that was dumb wasn't it) The bike likely got dumped near their home.... they likely needed it to ease the trip with my CDs which no doubt got pitched in route when it was discovered they jacked a handful of Gospel instead of MTV. ( Which is sad because I got a lot of joy out of them.)

Beyond that, whatever immediate need they quelched won't surpass their need for integrity.

lol and I don't think Fleetwood Mac have been known for raising ones awareness. lol

wink

I need to toss in I do know what you mean in some cases. Really I do see human need far above all else. This just wasn't one of those moments. When it comes to human compassion and understanding I am on track.

Next time, leave bear traps around. Then once they're caught in them, shoot their heads off with a double barrel.

Oh, and then spit down their throats.
