I used to think that the book series by Timothy Zahn (don't know the english title) was sort of an official follow-up to the original trilogy? | |

The books by Zahn were just the first official continuity, published novels, post-Jedi. There have been a whole slew of post-Jedi novels since, now going 25 some odd years afterward. Lucas's original plan was to tell a story revolving around Han and Leia's children (Jacen and Jaina Solo) when they are in their mid-twenties (they are in their late teens as of the most recent novels). So, all the novels to date have not touched on the "Third Trilogy" era, but have occurred in-between it and TOC. [Edited 3/17/05 6:41am]
