Chris Morris = Genius!

Damn. This guy is too, too clever. What's he up to now? I haven't seen him around in a while. 'The Day Today' and 'Brass Eye' still make me laugh most weeks, if only in my head recalling some of the lines.

The Day Today was DAMN funny. I do think they crossed the line a couple of times, though.

I understood what they were geting at with the paedophile one , but ...some things are just never gonna be funny, you know..?

Don't forget, "Jam" - the most twisted, fucked up sketch show ever. worship

Available on dvd - aired a few years ago. wink

Recently, i understand he's been writing a show which is currently on in the UK called "Nathan Barley". I haven't watched it, and reviews have been mixed (though i gather from friends it's pretty good).

My fave one was the short MTV spoof, with the rapper Phur-Q and a snippet of a skeleton in a noose as a VJ : "Hi, I'm Ian Curtis..."

Sick, wrong and tastless, but it still makes me chuckle.

The Day Today was DAMN funny. I do think they crossed the linbe a couple of times, though.

U laughed though didn't you? It was undeniably funny. And the paedophile episode was Brass Eye not TDT.

There's just so much in there, it's hard to pick up the first time around. The social comment is insanely sharp. There's not been anything on TV before or since anywhere like Brass Eye. Yet at first glance many people just shrug and say 'wtf???'

Jam was something else wasn't it? That was like the avant garde jazz of the comedy world. I don't have that on tape, I'll have to get it.

the brass eye paedophile special was incredibly insightful and witty.

Tabloid outrage following it only served to underline the point he was making.

Exactly, it's that WTF moment that really sucks you in nod

And, yeah, I guess you are right about laughing at the paedophile one (yes, Brass Eye, so it was) but even so, I still feel it was wrong.

I'm sorry, but it's true. You don't have anything on television remotely like it. There's a different type of show in the US. Many are funny as anything, but not in this style of twisted satire. It's a world away and would never be broadcast in the US.

Anyway, most TV does suck anywhere in the world. Just trust that this man this thread is about is a funny, sick, clever man.

Oh, and kisses
