I just got a digital video recorder with my Time Warner Cable package. Does anyone know if it's easy to pull digital video off these things? The only output I see on the back of mine is S-Video. Theres a bunch of RCA inputs though.

I suppose I could put my camcorder in between the connection from the DVR to my TV , but I hate taping stuff on to DV tapes then transfering it through firewire to my computer. Too time consuming and too many wires.

Any of you sucessfully done this some easy way?

I know Tivo's are fairly easy, but I don't know about Time Warners. Go here and post... they are really helpful.

I, for one, think it's fantastic these companies are developing technolgy to help record and store our every breath for legal violation investigation or government curiosity.
I'll also keep buying those fabulous third generation mobile phones. So sleek and sexy for an inanimate object! Those new ID cards get me hard too. Something else to validate my existance with a number.

I don't know what that last dude just said...but I have Tivo and it rocks...don't know how I lived without it. I don't know about Time/Warners...but if its like Tivo its simple to hook up and use.
