A friend of mine was analyzed. He had trouble sleeping and when he was supposed to be working he was sleeping. he was angry all the time etc.
They discovered he has sleep apnea I think it's a good idea. I hear its really nice and they make u feel really comfortable. Dont worry Good luck [Edited 2/18/05 12:43pm] "Nobody makes me bleed my own blood...NOBODY!"

I once woke up upside down in a bat cave covered in honey and reading the Sunday Times.
Which was weird, because it was Tuesday.

I knew someone who had a sleep study done in the past couple years.
From what I understood from him, basically they tape some wires on various places on you to monitor different things like breathing, heart, brain wave patterns (I think...?) and then just have you sleep in a comfortable, quiet, dark private room. I believe they also have a camera on you as you sleep, as well, to watch your movements. There might be more to it than just that but that seems to be the basics from what my friend described of his experience. I hope they are able to help you. I know what sleep troubles are like (I've had insomnia for years). And about what Threadcula mentioned about sleep apnea - that is pretty common, and can REALLY disrupt and affect your life AND your health. It'll be good for you either to discover you don't or do have it, so that if you do it can be treated and managed. Good luck and here's to you soon sleeping well.

My husband has been complaining about my snoring. I had sinus & septoplasty surgery May 03' and the snoring got better. Now it is getting worse again, according to my husband. The dr thinks I may have sleep apnea. I just think it is my sinuses & allergy problems. My dad has apnea, has has slept with the machine for 10 yrs now. He is very heavy & he used to smoke. I am not over weight & I do not smoke. I don't know.. Thanks for the info & the well wishes!
