Oh, boy...what a terrible day. My husband was out hunting with our beagle and that dumb dog got hit by a train. We just got back from the animal hospital. We had to put him to sleep.

I don't even like that dog, but I still cried pretty bad. It was just awful.

Apparently, my husband was some distance from the dog, and he knew a train was coming. He was calling the dog and blowing his whistle, but he was hot on the trail of some rabbit, and just ignored him. The train came right up on him, and that moron didn't even move! He is not deaf either. He usually barks at every stupid little noise he hears. What was he thinking???

It looked like his legs were broken at the very least. We drove him about 15 miles away to the nearest animal hospital. They said that it looked like he also had spinal injuries and probably internal injuries. The bill was going to be in the thousands. We chose to have him put down.

It was very sad to say the least.
