Just got back from seeing Scorsese's 'The Aviator'. What started as a fun, interesting, well-acted, well-filmed movie ended as a pretentious mess 3 hrs later.Sorry, the last 45 minutes were just bullshit and so was the ending, is Scorses planning a sequel? DiCrappio did a good job but is in the end is too much solliciting for that Oscar.....just like Cruise was in 'The Last Samurai'.

It's about time that Scorsese steps off his pretentious bandwagon and gives us a dirty mob-movie again!

I haven't seen it..as far as I know the movie focuses on Howard Hughes early life..Did they show him towards the end when he became a recluse? I think that might have been interesting.

This is when DiCrappio gets on his trip. The film ends there. Blanchett as Hepburn is just downright annoying, yet I don't know whether Hepburn really was like that. Beckinsale as Ava Gardner is gorgeous!

Mr. Scorsese, get your men (DeNiro, Pesci, Keitel) and make a dirty mob-movie with at least 365 times the word 'fuck' in it! Leave DiCrappio alone, sure he's a good actor but he'll always be a little boy!

And....can someone please put Jude Law on a leash??? It feels like he shows up in every damn movie lately.....we are definitely experiencing a Law-overkill, and he always seems to play the same character. Here he has a small role as Errol Flynn, yet very annoying!

I saw The Machinist last night, and I thought Christian Bale was awesome in it! Anyone else see it?

I remember years ago seeing a programme about Hughes on T.v, he was depicted with very long fingernails and was in a white room, terrified of germs. It was sad to see him like this as compared to the man he once was.

Avaitor was great. Even if he wins the Oscar, he will still be underappreciated. Catch Me If You Can and Gangs of New York were excellentas well. I would be OK if Jamie Foxx won, but if not him then Leo. Jude Law is far too gentile to take on Leo's parts. He would look like a pansy in Gangs. Thats my take....Clones

I think both Scorsese and DeNiro declined to be interviewed, but it seems that it made them think, as they are considering a sequel...
