I lost about 35lbs over the period of a year. I weighed about 270lbs. I have a couple of friends that went to weight watchers and tried other diets. We all started about the same time and they lost weight faster than me. But they have all gained it back plus more. Everyone asks me hoe I'm doing it and they usually don't like my response. Stop eating so much.

I lost 50 pounds of baby weight after I had my son.....I didn't do it the healthy way though. I starved myself for a few months Then, when I did begin to eat again, it was only yogurt, salads and Diet coke. I also would allow myself slim fast shakes and bars (which are actually pretty good)
I wouldn't recommend the Misha weight loss plan though Smooches;)

well I'll explain what I did...a few years ago now I was 176pounds or 80kg. Over the space of about a year I lost 57.2pounds or 26kg. I've now put BACK ON 22 pounds or 10kg

Throwing up after your meals helps take some weight off pretty rapidly.

feeling embarrassed  I know me too...I'll admit right here that yesterday was the first day in a lllooooong time I haven't had McDonalds at least once it's an addiction and if you've ever seen "The biggest loser" THAT'S how it really does feel to try and kick it You cry, get angry, try to cheat many times but the most important thing is just to keep on trying no matter what happens. It's hard but when that weight starts coming off it's OOOH SO SATISFYING!

I lost a lot of weight when I was younger (8th-9th grade). Did it by eating very, very little. Had borderline low blood pressure, was dizzy, passed out once, and just generally felt terrible. Started eating again, gained the weight back, and felt vastly better. Would rather be fat than sick, personally. Plus, I had to be completely obsessed with food to eat so little for so long, which wasn't worth it to me. Now I try to focus on my health instead of my weight.

that's a good point I agree totally...it's definately about HEALTH see, I'm about 20kg over the "average" weight for my height, that's why speaking for myself I'm trying to lose weight. It's not healthy for me to be this big and I even had heart pulpitations for the first time in my life the other day because I'm that unhealthy right now... Health is definately more important than the weight thing but sometimes to be healthy you need to lose some weight...
