i need a job

i just graduated from college last month and looking for a full time job. I had a co-op/internship my last year in college working part time but they said that they didn't have any full time positions for me. Being that they were a small business i would have thought they could have created a position for me if they really wanted me to stay. but thats was out.

i've been applying for jobs at every place that i can think of and so far have been unsuccessful. i've put in like 15 applications and so far i've had about 5 interviews. One job told me i was overqualifed, the others were just bullshit "thank you for your interest, but sorry we you aren't good enough for this position" letters or emails.

i'm trying not to lose my cool because its just been a month and most of the time it takes people longer to find a job that they want, but i don't want just any old job to "just" pay the bills. Am i wrong to think this?

my part time job is letting me stay on part time until i can find something full time which is generous of them to do and i really appreciate it, but i didn't think that i would be there with them this long...
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

its really frustrating. you're looking for a job to gain experience, but every job description i've found, you have to have at least 2 years experience for this and that to even get the job. it really makes no sense to me...

I know what you mean sad It's a bloody catch 22! How can you gain experience, if no one's willing to give you that experience shrug

Keep pluggin' away though, with a stroke of luck something will come up nod

I don't want to put you down, but it's more meant as encouragement:
I applied for over 80 jobs after finishing school before I had my first job.
What I mean to say is, don't give up to easily, it has nothing to do with you. Jobs are scares but eventually the right one will be there for U.
Keep your head up. Make them feel sorry for not taking the opportunity to hire you!
Go get 'm!!!!! thumbs up!

It would be surprising, really, if you found a more-than-just-a-job-job with 15 applications. I think 2-3 months is a common length of time for a serious job search.
