Dammit, we've had the coldest freaking two weeks, with no break whatsoever. Yesterday it reached -34 Celsius (about -30 F), today it drops below -30 once again. I couldn't even start my car today, even though I plugged in the block heater. I kept turning the ignition until the battery died, dammit!!!

Now I'm going to get to work late today (waiting for someone to pick me up), which costs me money, in addition to the money I have to pay to park downtown in heated parking when my car IS working, This weather freaking sucks nuts. I have no clue how I became Canadian, because I hate this cold ass weather. Particularly when we get ungodly deep freeze streaks like this which we cannot escape.

End rant.

Well, I was able to unlock the passenger door and unlock the driver door from there. Then when I got in I just sat there with my finger on the windshield solvent button until the wipers got unstuck

And, for the record, this is FAR from normal. Normals for this time of year are in the region of 25 FA. Still cold, but, nothing like this.

Good thing my roommate has an AMA membership (like AAA). They'll start my car up.

i let my caa (aaa) membership lapse in the post christmas drought

so far it has started (cross your fingers) but i don't want to look at my gas/electric bill... the furnace has been running almost constantly.

Actually, I found out that it was the plug. The damn outlet that my apartment "provides" me isn't on!! What a gip. I'm sending some complaints their way.
