MOVIES that should be on DVD by now but aren't

It's enough of a crime that it took them YEARS to make a decent dvd release of Goodfellas on a disc you don't have to flip over 1/2 way during the movie whofarted ...

So of course I want to get all the vhs flicks I adore on dvd...

One of my faves is SubUrbia by Richard Linklater (1997). But it's only available on VHS mad I know it wasn't very popular but fuck, it's a great little movie! What's the hold up? chair

What movie has you waiting for its dvd release?
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

Watch it, sucka. DVD isn't just about the extras. It's about preserving the film for a home format that does not degrade over time. Plus the resolution is so much better than VHS.

I wouldn't be surprised if Suburbia makes it to DVD soon, especially with the recent success of Before Sunset. Both films are released through Warner Brothers, so I'd guess it will happen soon enough.

There is a great debate raging in the "Prince: Music & More" forum as to the authenticity of the new Canadian release. As it is put out by the company that holds the rights to the film up here, everything seems to be kosher.

I'd like to see Tom Waits' Big Time on DVD.

I know that everytime u watch a video, it gets ever so slightly worse but I just ain't gonna waste money on buying films i already own.

Remember the early dvd's with NO extra's? At least with modern films u get something extra 4 ur money.

oh yeah, the "batman" films really need a facelift. Warners r stingy with their extra's.

Plus i cannot stand sitting through the opening jargon on DVD's that MAKE U WAIT!

Yes. I didn't know it's not available on VHS until I started poking around looking for the DVD a whilke back. I had this friend who would tape all kinds of crazy stuff off cable at all hours and he caught this one. I have it Back to Back with the Doom Generation (I think).

I've got this on DVD. I bought it from HMV in the UK. It was part of a two disc set alongside Valley Of The Dolls.

I'd like to see the really early John Waters films on DVD.

I'll bet you that's when it was taped. I would say I have known this movie for about that long. He loved PBS. Probably on at a wierd time too.

I don't think that's the officail release...unless FOX just did it just because. That's a weird one as they are NOT sequels and Beyond even has to carry a disclaimer (The author sued Russ Meyer over the name.) It's also not region 1.

He did release DVD's www.russmeyer.com not all of em but some.

Yeah, it's an official Fox Home Video release in the UK. There's a disclaimer at the start of the movie and also in the blurb on the back cover.

Don't you have a region-free player?
