BE HONEST - Do U treat pretty people... Do U treat pretty people differently than everyone else?
Studies show that 90% of us do. So, I refuse to believe that the majority of people posting here don't. by by saying that you do, I mean: They get seated first, they get waited on first, they get treated more politely and with more patience, and on and on. . [Edited 1/3/05 15:39pm]

Honestly, attractive women SCARE the shit out of me. So, I usually don't say shit to them. I don't like them though. Prob. because I'm jealous.

I don't know if I do, though as one of the un-pretty, I feel damn confident that the 90% figure is correct. Being ugly makes you invisible. That's the thing. I don't think people do it out of malice, so much as they don't see you, and if they do, they wish they didn't.

Ex-Moderator | And, sad as it may seem, I think this is totally true. I know I treat men I find attractive differently than the ones I don't. |

hmmm. i might treat people who i find attractive differently than people i find unattractive. hell, let's not say "might". i'd wager that i DO.
but hold up for a moment and don't go pouring acid on my face just yet... i think it depends on the definition of "attractive". i might find a sweet old lady to be "attractive" just because she gives off a very peaceful, friendly, motherly vibe. i worked with a morbidly obese guy a year or so ago who was by no means sexually attractive to me, but i was very attracted to how confident he was and how he carried himself, and how intelligent he was. when strong qualities like that cross my path, i'll most likely respond favorably. meanwhile, i don't have the patience to suffer fools or those who are just patently neurotic or socially inept to the point of making me want to run for cover when they walk into a room. and on the other hand, some folks are "too" pretty for their own good, and that's a huge turn-off. when someone gives off the vibe that they're pretty and they're full aware of that fact (and so should we be too), i'll go into ice mode quicker than you can say "paris hilton".

My definition of attractive is waaayyyyy different than most folks I know. And I think I used "attractive" rather than "pretty" because of it. |

I actively ignore really attractive people because they make me feel nervous.
There are clothes shops that I won't go in because all the male assistants look like Bruce Weber models. I look like a trog on the best of days and being around pretty people makes me look worse.
