Remember about the Break and Enter around my neighbourhood that I was telling about (for those who have read it). They break in by lifting aluminum window frames up and out to enter the residence. Luckily they had not hit my place yet.

Well I got the security bars put on both my kitchen windows yesterday...and.... and... the guy installng them (his name is Randy)... was sooooo hot and handsome that it was so hard not to keep looking at his cute face. 6 foot 2 and in good shape. Yummy. I was sooo chicken to ask if he was single or not (he had no wedding band).

Go ahead, call me a chicken

Can we put bars in this place?

good idea. windows are the likeliest entryway into a home, and those little latch things that 'lock' windows don't prevent much when the glass is broken.

Be proactive, call a locksmith, have it done and to hell with her. If she is willing to sign a paper promising to replace any losses you incur, then fine. But otherwise get it done 9's, you will sleep better at night or feel at ease when away from home.

I don't think there's anything chicken about it at all. We live on the 3rd floor of an apartment building, and there is a balcony that runs the length of the building on each floor. There are stairs going up the balcony, so it acts as a second entrance to each level.

Our kitchen windows face these stairs, and we had a break-in through one of these windows a few years back. At the time, my boyfriend worked third shift, so I was home by myself when the break-in happened. It's frightening to wake up to the sounds of shades rattling and footsteps in your house at 2:00 a.m. We put bars on those windows, and they added to my sense of security. I don't regret it in the least.

Now, about asking not asking him out - yeah, you're pretty much a chicken for not doing it.

He had to go out the back door, the door he entered to come into my kitchen. The windows were installed inside my home. He used a power drill for the screws
