I think Titanic is probably most overrated. but then again, I never saw it

I think it's great because of the dialogue between the characters. It's almost as if we are privy to private conversations that are taking place between people rather than the characters talking FOR an audience they know is watching. It's a subtle nuance and an effective one imo. If you know what I mean!
It's best demonstrated in the scene between John Travolta and Samuel L Jackson in the car when they are talking about Cheese Royals ... [Edited 12/7/04 5:04am] [Edited 12/7/04 5:06am]

I think "overrated" is the most overrated term of all time While I'm no fan of Pulp Fiction, I do, as a whole, like Tarantino's work. Jackie Brown was a phenomenal film.

Pulp Fiction IS brilliant. I agree with Heavenly about Titanic. Terribly over-rated. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Y'all are crazy! Titanic is an excellent film. It wasn't my favorite that year (that would've been Eve's Bayou), but an achievement, and a very good film nonetheless. I'm not ashamed to say I think it was a great film, and I'm looking forward to the special edition DVD release in 2005!

"THE THIN RED LINE" is the most overrated movie ever. Pulp Fiction is great! I woke up sunday morning with no way to hold my head that didn't hurt
and the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad so I had one more for dessert

I don't know if I'd say it's overrated.
I can say, that I wasn't particularly impressed by it. But, whatevs. I enjoyed "Win a Date with Tad Hamilton" so what do I know?

Damn right it gets loads of praise, but i can never make it through without falling asleep. It's so BOOOORIIING! apart from The Shining i mostly hate Kubricks films. BTW, since when has Titanic ever been critically acclaimed enough to become overrated. Most reviews said it sucked. The last half of the movie with the ship sinking is pretty sweet though. and Pulp Fiction rules.

Pulp Fiction was and is great. It deserves every bit of noteriety it gets. It is NOT overrated. I agree with Apocolypse Now, 2001, The Thin Red Line being o/r. I'll add Dances With Wolves to that list.
I think Titanic was a good movie. I don't think it was quite as good as everyone said. The first half was 100% cheese, the last half was awesome though.

Pulp Fiction is an excellent movie, and in its day it was something very different and influential. I've never been particularly interested in the hype behind films, but I think this one stands on its own merits. Haven't watched it for ages, so maybe it's dated a little, but I imagine it's still pretty cool.....
I seem to be one of the few people who actually liked Thin Red Line too! (Can't comment on Apocalypse Now because..... I.... erm..... haven't... actually quite, well..... that is to say, I've....um.... never really.... seen it.....!) Well, I didn't say it wasn't good, just terribly over-rated. It swept the Oscars that year, and was the biggest grossing film of all time. It was good, but it wasn't THAT good.
