is an education ever not worth it? Right now I'm finishing up applying to veterinary school and I'm very excited. I hope that I get accepted and I think that it'll be more than awesome to be a veterinarian and to actually be able to influence the field in a way that I think would be very positive.
However, I work with some people who think that it's not worth it to get any kind of education after college because then you'll be in debt. I find this attitude to be a little strange. I mean, yeah, you'll be in debt but you'll also have this amazing education that no one can ever take away from you. You can also go into debt and not have an education. Seems like that would suck even more than being educated and being in debt. I just don;t get it. There's this one girl in particular who would make an excellent vet but doesn;t want to go to school because she's married and wants kids. wtf? since when have being a professional and having kids been mutually exclusive? There are female vets who are married with children. Anyway, am I a fool for wanting to go to veterinary school? Is an education ever not worth it?

Money shouldn't be such an issue when it comes to learning something you're really passionate about.
If you can somehow find a way to go to school to learn what you want, then go for it. The sooner you finish school, the sooner you can start paying back

Nope...unless you don't value knowledge yourself. In that case you're a dumbass, but so are most people.

Those people aren't you. and if it's not them paying for the school, you shouldn't care what they think. Go for what you want to do, you only live once, every time

Ive found that people who are against education because of money & debt are usually the ones who've had problems with it and they give up and look down on it.
U can take money away from a person but u cant take away one's knowledge Their loss "Nobody makes me bleed my own blood...NOBODY!"

It's worth the time you put into it, not necessarily the money.
