My Secret Santa really has a kiss on her ass.

I adore her because she is beautiful and believes in keeping it real.

My gift was on the porch when I came home with 2 hours sleep and like a little girl I ripped right into it. There was a beautiful box (I collect those!) All my glass ornaments go into them evey year in tissue for protection so I will always remember.) Inside were 2 BEAUTIFUL sage mugs filled with Lindt0
Lindor chocolates! They are to die for they melt in your mouth.Why do I know this? BECAUSE I consumed most of them in the first hour. There were 8 packages of different flavored coffees. ( I am in the middle of a pot of chocolate Java as we speak... ) And a bag of apple cinnamon sticks and cones!

I received my SS gifts today! I love getting things from where people are from. My gifts were all Texas themed. My SS even included Bratz socks (not TX oriented) for my daughters, which is BEYOND SWEET!!

My poor Secret Santa gift receiver won't get her gift until mid to late Jan 2005. I ordered it in early December. Then got word it couldn't be shipped right away. So Mach, you're not the only one who sux at this "SANTA" stuff.

IMHO, the folks who realize their gifts didn't get to the recipients by xmas should reveal themselves (to the recipients via orgnote, I guess) so that everybody knows they weren't forgotten.

No biggie, right? Everything will arrive eventually.

I went through Eskomokisses and she let my poor gift receiver know how incredibly late my gift will be because I didn't want him/her to think he/she'd been forgotten.

I already know who my SS is. Let's just say I'm not called Heavenly for no reason I know when you've beed good, I know when you've been naughty

i was forewarned to be at home this afternoon because my secret santa present was supposed to be delivered at noon today, but i stuck around until 2pm and nothing ever showed up. it's not my SS's fault - it's a crazy week for mail and the post office sucks, to boot.

this has been a very schadenfreude christmas for me - the first year in ages where i'm actually feeling the holiday spirit, and every damn thing that could go wrong is going wrong. the flight to my mom's house for christmas weekend looks like it'll probably be canceled. my job has displayed a memorable level of grinchy heartlessness to us all this year. there's been a really troubling illness in my family lately. the only good things about christmas this year have been my friends - the best a guy can have - and my boyfriend, who has made this winter so ridiculously, amazingly, astoundingly fun and special. and really, that's all i or anyone should need. it just amazes me that the rest of the world seems to be going to shit this holiday season. i blame bush. why not?

sorry if this was an inappropriate rant for this thread, and when my SS gift comes it'll cheer me up considerably, as will christmas with my family and my first new year's with my sweetie - but it just seems so weird that the first year that i'm not completely cynical and jaded about christmas, it feels like the people around me - at least where i live - can't really be bothered with being kind on the holidays.

i think next year i'm gonna take a vacation during christmas week so folks can be all grinchy without me having to be part of it.
