It could mean that your subconscious is trying to remind you of a traumatic incident that you have tried to forget. Or it could mean that you have a certain sexual desire that you are ashamed about. Or it could mean that its just a weird ass dream, and there is nothing more to it. wink

I'm not a big believer in dream analysis, but I figured I'd give it a go if anybody here was into that. I can see the "certain sexual desire that you are ashamed about" thing, 'cause I do hide my proclivity for BDSM from my parents (not really something you wanna share with Mom & Dad, usually).

Well that isn't a family dinner topic, but its still normal. The average person isn't open about sex whem it comes to their parents. I want my dad to believe I'm still a virgin, which I know he doesn't. However, I will never admit to it in front of him. I can talk about sex with him, but not about me having sex. So embarrassed by what your parents think is only natural. Ecspecially when your into BDSM. cool

By the by: Did you see the wishes I sent you in your belated-b-day thread? What ever happened with the trial? More importantly: are you watching America's Next Top Model?

I just discovered the thread today, so yes. Thanks!!!! And I left a request for you to fill me in on the last couple of axe receivers, as I've missed ANTM of late. Is the blindish girl still there? I liked her at first, then you got too bitchy. I love Eva, and I think Anne loves her too, and I do mean Lurves with a Giant Capital L!!!!

Like I said, I'm not really a big a believer in dream-analysis. Although I have had this dream recurrently, frankly I'm just using it as an excuse to smart-off again. biggrin

Dream Analysis is very out moded. Today, dreaming is seen as a process of sorting, attaching (via association with previously stored data) and disposing of data collected throughout the day. The senses rarely stop. As a result, the brains various 'stores' (WM, STM, LTM) become clutered with information (some relevant, some not). Sleep provides the time and opportunity for this vast quantity of material to be managed. Consequent images, as bizarre as they seem, are merely peripheral, irratic, neural activity (like the froth the crest of a wave).

Quick demonstration - ever forgotten the name of somebody then woke up the next morning with the name in your head? Thats association at work. Your brain has had time to sift through the huge amounts of information then attach and retrieve the necessary answer (previously stored information)

Not as romantic as the notion of the subconcious desires being safely expressed within sleep but what can ya do?

WM - Working memory
STM - Short term memory
LTM - Long term memory
You'll never know a girl called Nikki and you'll never find Erotic City
