most men in the UK and Australia are not circumcised, because it has been widely seen by parents and doctors to be unecessary. the benefits for the male are much higher when the subject is not "cut". for example being uncircumsized can make sex more pleasurable for the male and also for the female when she can tell that her man is recieving just as much pleasure as her. the circumsized penis is in contrast up to 40% less sensitive. there is no truth to the MYTH that an uncircumsized penis is dirtier; and as long as the uncicrumsized man washes behind the foreskin regulary there is zero risk of disease. . Anyway, stats point to "for skin" in the UK but "against skin" in the US. People I spoke to about getting their kids "done" largely agree that they wouldn't if daddy hadn't had the chip-chop to avoid "why doesn't daddy have a foreskin like me mummy?" Apart from that, and religious reasons it appears to be going out of fashion you could say. There are a fair smattering of cut chaps in the UK so statistically it would be quite easy for you GF to have slept with a few and never encountered a foreskin before. Don't worry though, I always think it better to have something and choose to keep it or not, than have somebody take it away without knowing and never know the benefits it might have had!! Lolly Increased HPV is nothing to do with cleanliness, this is simply not true! i didn't say it was forgot to mention this last night it my reply to you cause i was a couple of glasses of red worse for wear i made a different point that it is easier to keep clean not that keeping clean was a factor in the transmition of hpv. I Checked out your link and then sourced back to the original article http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.g...s=11948269 Unfortunately it's only an abstract but it seems pretty sound, although there ware several other comments on this that I don't have access too, so I am guessing it is quite controversial. What I couldn't ascertain was whether the infection was increased in the men themselves or just transmitted more in the "dirt" (for want of a better word). That cannot be right surely? in the U.S. it is also becoming less popular to circumsize babies, although most men walking around in America today ARE circumsized. the reasons are often cosmetic, eg the parents want the child to look like their father, or many people simply have had it handed down to them that the circumsized penis is the way it is "supposed to look". in my opinion it is a very barbaric practise as the baby DOES feel the pain and never gets a say in it. i have read a number of stories on the web from American men who wish that their parents hadn't chosen it for them and undergo treatment to have a medical procedure which recreates the foreskin. it's just one of those archaic practises which will cease to be commonplace someday, as more people become better educated about it. .
