In Europe circumcision is usually only done for religious or medical reasons. Maybe, as you say, she's only ever gone out with jews or others who were circumcised. Uncircumcised would be considered the norm in the UK. I only know two guys who've had it done (one here in Ireland and one in London) - not that I go around asking every man I know whether or not they've been snipped, but it is the sort of thing guys tend to ask eachother. That said, I prefer my guys uncircumsized. Circumsized guys look mutilated to me. I got curious and started randomly asking people once, both in person and online. As far as I found, at least half of the guys from all over the USA that I asked were not circumsized. I agree, too. Circumsized guys look very unattractive and weird. They're much more attractive with their body parts still intact. I reject your reality and substitute my own.

so long as it's functional does it matter
must say circumcised men are lower risk for you ladies as some research suggested that they are less likely to transmit hpv as there are less places for the nasty virus to hide far easier to keep clean too

It was horribly painful.

What a thread, my favourite subject. I have had many conversations about this in my time. I think we even debated circumcision as a form a male sexual mutilation here a while back.
Anyway, stats point to "for skin" in the UK but "against skin" in the US. People I spoke to about getting their kids "done" largely agree that they wouldn't if daddy hadn't had the chip-chop to avoid "why doesn't daddy have a foreskin like me mummy?" Apart from that, and religious reasons it appears to be going out of fashion you could say. There are a fair smattering of cut chaps in the UK so statistically it would be quite easy for you GF to have slept with a few and never encountered a foreskin before. Don't worry though, I always think it better to have something and choose to keep it or not, than have somebody take it away without knowing and never know the benefits it might have had!! Lolly Increased HPV is nothing to do with cleanliness, this is simply not true! Happy is he who finds out the causes for things.Virgil (70-19 BC). Virgil was such a lying bastard!

wow, interesting thread
Besides religious or medical reasons i really see no need for a man to be circumsized. Natural is all good to me

i know something about this:
most men in the UK and Australia are not circumcised, because it has been widely seen by parents and doctors to be unecessary. the benefits for the male are much higher when the subject is not "cut". for example being uncircumsized can make sex more pleasurable for the male and also for the female when she can tell that her man is recieving just as much pleasure as her. the circumsized penis is in contrast up to 40% less sensitive. there is no truth to the MYTH that an uncircumsized penis is dirtier; and as long as the uncicrumsized man washes behind the foreskin regulary there is zero risk of disease. . [Edited 11/23/04 1:22am] I never understood why it would be dirtier anyway. Uncircumsized is it's natural state, no? That's like saying a woman who hasn't undergone genital mutilation is dirty. [Edited 11/23/04 1:22am] but not 100% of men do this I've seen the results of not cleaning behind a foreskin and as a first year student nurse believe me it was something i will NEVER forget anyway i sound kinda pro circumsision which infact i'm not I'm very anti i have a son who i would never consider putting through that, it's not needed. i just wanted to put another view up, i hate to go with majority oh and because i had recently read stuff about the benefits of it too (still annoyed i deleted the e-mail), although i think the good old don't sleep around, practice safer sex and all that stuff is far better way to stay disease free
