What literary character are you?

No, this isn't one of those lame-ass quizes. No, I'm just asking--what literary character do you most identify with? If you were written into a novel, what protaganist (or antagonist) would bear the closest resemblence to you? Explain who this character is...and why.

For me?

I definitely see myself as Tomas from "The Unbearable Lightness of Being"--complicated, lustful, needy...and yet hard to get close to.

So who are you?

Holden Caulfield: cynical, idealistic, non-conformist, self-deprecating, non-materialistic.

I really should read the "Catcher in the Rye" again. smile

I've always loved Holden. That book has touched a lot of lives. Were it not for that wonderful book, I doubt I would've survived high school.

I'd love to say I'm Anais Nin in her diaries, but sadly, that doesn't quite fit. Or perhaps a tragic heroine in some gothic novel. But alas, I don't think I've ever met my literary equivalent.

Sal Paradise from Jack Kerouac's On the Road.

Shy, introspective, impulsive, admiring of others, contemplative, sad.
