Don't confess to liking goth music and going to goth clubs on Fridays. See my profile -> 25, single.

Ok I finally met the dude last Friday. He was on time, a plus. I suggested seeing a movie which he was fine with until I said "SharkTales." He doesn't like animated movies. I don't know if that's really a negative. He wasn't interested in any other movies, and we were both really hungry, so we decided to skip the movie and look for a restaurant. For those who live in SF or the Bay Area, avoid the Metreon restaurants like the plague. We weren't feelin' the sandwich place or Chinese, and he's never eaten Japanese food, so Mexican looked promising. As he was ordering, I turned around and noticed something scurry by. Hmmm...did I see something or was I trippin? Then the cook came out with a broom and I saw the culprit...a rat scurry the other direction. Ok that's it, we were out of there. We ended up at Mel's Diner across the street, it's simple and I really didn't feel like walking around Union Square in indecisive land. He's pickier than me when it comes to food, which I thought wasn't possible. After Mel's we went to the Marriott to see the view from the 39th floor. He was impressed with that. The conversation was steady, and I felt comfortable with him from the start. I had to carry most of the conversation which I wasn't expecting, maybe he's a little on the shy side. No sparks flew, but he's a nice guy, and I plan on seeing him again next weekend. I don't know if I thought about what you guys have suggested, but I know I didn't fart or have greenery sticking between my teeth. It was a no-pressure evening. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

Good show! Give 'im another chance. While we all love sparks, they are not the most important part of a successful relationship. And who knows? They may develop later. Perhaps you could send him for one of them queer makeovers? "I ENJOY FIREWORKS, BUT STARS IS NICE, TOO." - Taxi Driver Wisdom
