Poor Kitty Today when I was driving out of the metropark, not far from my house, I spotted a cute black kitten walking along on the side of the road. I wanted to stop right then and there to pick him up, but by doing so, I would have been rear-ended by the car that was right behind me. So I parked the car in a parking lot right across the road from where I spotted the kitten, and got out.
It must have looked kind of strange to an outsider, because I was making a clicking sound and saying, "Here kitty, kitty, come here, kitty." I spotted the kitten sitting on top of a hill, but as soon as I started walking towards him, he ran off and then I couldn't see him anymore. I honestly don't know how these animal rescue groups manage to capture a stray dog or cat, it's not easy! So I walked back to the car, disappointed that I couldn't grab the little fella. Although, in retrospect, it might have been a good thing, because I don't think the three cats that I have now would have been too happy about me bringing another cat home. Hopefully someone will be able to catch him and give him a good home. I hate to think of that poor kitty being out in the cold with no food to eat. Yeah, I know, I'm a big sucker for cats, but I can't help myself. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Not sure if kitty is in the same place as where I last saw him, since cats like to roam around. If I knew for sure that he was in the same spot, I would give him some food. My only regret is not being able to stop and pick him up when I first saw him alongside the road. He was probably just dropped out of someone's car, and it might have been easier to grab him. Poor little fella. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

awww. i share your fears that the kitten was abandoned. perhaps the cat gods will smile on you and allow another contact. so next time you see kitty you will have an automatic net installed (inspector gadget style, mind you) on the side of your car so as to enable a 'polo car' kind of scoop and grab of roadside kitty.
