I love prince.org, but only discovered the general discussion forum three or four days ago. What is this place? It seems like y'all know each other and it also seems a bit too much like Junior High. I feel like I'm reading the "most likely to get drunk and fuck a bull" and "most likely to get laid and tip a cow" sections of my yearbook, from back in the day. What is this all about? Why all the sickening popularity contests? Am I too old for this forum, or are the members of this specific forum too immature for their age? Although I enjoy lots of what's here (the movie stuff, mostly), even more seems sorta juvenile (dogs ****ing, the orger that turns you on, etc.). Maybe I'm wrong. If I am, educate me.

Either way, woo-hoo, yay! Prince rules!

A frog goes into a bank and approaches the teller.
He can see from her nameplate that her name is Patricia Whack.
He says, "Ms. Whack, I'd like to get a $30,000 loan to take a holiday."

Patty looks at the frog in disbelief and asks his name.
The frog says his name is Kermit Jagger, his dad is Mick Jagger,
and that it's okay, he knows the bank manager.

Patty explains that he will need to secure the loan with some collateral.

The frog says, "Sure. I have this.", and produces a tiny porcelain elephant,
about an inch tall, bright pink and perfectly formed.

Very confused, Patty explains that she'll have to consult with the
bank manager, and disappears into a back office.

She finds the manager and says, "There's a frog called Kermit Jagger
out there, who claims to know you and wants to borrow $30,000.
And he wants to use THIS as collateral."

She holds up the tiny pink elephant. "I mean, what in the world is this?"

The bank manager looks back at her and says.....
.
.
.

.
.
.
"It's a knickknack, Patty Whack. Give the frog a loan. His old man's a Rolling Stone."

Woo-hoo! Popularity contests are a prerequisite for those who measure their worth by the responses received on a messageboard.

Whore yourself around. You'll score in no time (maybe even with a cow)!

the point being someones feeling left out,

basically life is serious enough, most of us have loadsa responsibilitys and crap to deal with and see this as relaxation a way to chat to people and be silly...

just cause we post silly things sometimes doesn't make us immature it just makes the person starting this thread narrow minded thinking that this is all there is to us.....

does it sound like i took this thread serious hmmm

Hey, I was all over the GD forum way before most of you that are here all the time now even joined, so of course I know how it is here. I'll count myself as being one of the most immature people around. I was just pointing out the irony of the subject matter of this thread, and then how no one took it seriously.
