It sounds kind of stupid and unintelligent, but I must admit I'm like guilty of this at times. Do you like, pepper your speach with this word? Like, do you find yourself saying "like" at the beginning and in the middle of sentences?

Since I've been visiting the U.S., I've heard a lot of this along with the word "super" (ie, "I was super-buseeee! Like OMIGOD!") used as a prefix to EVERYTHING....I find that even more annoying.

And "Totally" is another one which gets my back up, even though I've been guilty of using it at times.

Ya know something....when i was 15, i was told off from a teacher when i was in a bit of a shamozal tryin to explain somethin 2 her...she told me "STOP SAYING 'LIKE' ALL THE TIME!!!" I dont think i use it alllll da timez...but ya know, when i'm gettin descriptive, they seem to automatically click into my dialogue...kinda like "umz" and "ers" and "ahhs"...it's become the modern day of ummingz in some wayz i think!

I totally do that. I say "totally" a lot too.

How about people that say "um" in between every word. The drive me nuts.

There was a show on t.v. one night on the English language. The word "like" is in common usage now in the English spoken language.

Like I found it interesting and like I even noticed like I use it too. And like everyone I know really, well, like to use this word.
