polyphonic ring tones

I have been looking for a decent polyphonic ringtone of a prince song for my mobile (is this a tad sad? boxed). I'm shocked and dismayed at the fact that there are hardly any to be found (on the sites I've tried anyway) eek
Has anyone found a good un? call

OMG Abbie I'm so glad you started this thread!!! I've just bought a new Motorola E365 and for the first time I've got polyphonic ringtones and a colour screen...I'M LOST!!!! eek I tried to download a ringtone and a wallpaper yesterday but I wasted the money because I'm not WAP enabled (whatever that means boxed)

if you find a good one let me know!! what kind of phone have you got? this is mine - I love it!

Hey Natisse , i have a Sharp gx15 which doesn't seem to be very popular in the "downloadable stuff stakes" sharp gx10, 10i, 20, 30....but, no. not the gx15. Typical sigh. A WAP (Wireless Application ....not sure about the p bit, maybe Processor) enabled phone can go online and download stuff straight to your mobile. Mine has WAP, but i haven't quite mastered it yet! I have found a few dodgy versions of purple rain, one version of cinnamon girl hmm. I used to have a really great 1999 ringtone, but i'll be buggered if i can find it anywhere now! Anyways, i'll keep a searching and report back any treasures i uncover! Hopefully someone will reply who's already done all the hard work! pray

p.s now that IS a nice looking phone you got there! sexy

pps: i think the Cinnamon Girl tone i found may be on http://ringtones.mobilefu...erm=prince

thanks...it IS a good phone!! I got it at a really good price which is the only reason I bought it so soon - I wasn't looking to upgrade until early next year but this was too good to pass up nod

with regards to WAP, when you have that enabled, does that mean you have to have an internet connection or anything? hmmm what exactly does it mean? sorry to seem naive but I'm totally lost...

WAP enabled means the phone automatically has the ability to go 'online' and download stuff. Its not the same as a pc though, its limited to certain sites as far as i can tell....but its not like you need an ISP provider (AOL for eg) or to pay subscription, or to connect to a landline pnone socket with a cable or anything like that. If your phone is WAP enabled, the company that bills you will set out charges for browsing on WAP , say 5 pence per min (I'm in uk). This is just a very rough explanation, and im sure i'll have made errors, but its the general gist of what i know so far. Like i say, just getting to know it myself wink

You'll know if its got WAP if you browse through the phones menu - for example mine has a "Vodaphone live" button, which when i press it takes me online to look at games ringtones, top up etc.

Im in Scotland, up in the highlands! Prepay phones can be WAP enabled too by the way, the method of payment is irrelevant, its the model of phone itself. I found this and had to share it..... this ringtone is called "orgasm", well seeing Prince has a song by that very name i was duty bound to listen! I think its the sound of your mobile reaching the moment of ecstasy.....too cool! jerkoff mobile jerkoff..... horny

you can use any midi file for a ringtone and you can find those files easily on the net

or you can use Mmode..the other day Sony featured Call My Name,Musicology & Cinnamon Girl for $2.49 each..i downloaded Cinnamon Girl and its pretty cool because its a sample of the real song
Check it out ...Shiny Toy Guns R gonna blowup VERY soon and bring melody back to music..you heard it here 1st! http://www.myspacecomment...theone.mp3
