I bought this the other week even though I really didn't have the money for it. At first I figured I'd have to go a week without lunch, but then I realized I could just follow the zombies' example and start biting chunks out of people on the street for free!
Long story short, I'm typing this post from a St. Paul correctional facility. Anyway, I've watched the European version twice so far, once with the commentary with the four main actors on, which was probably one of the better DVD commentaries I've heard. I could've sworn someone told me the guy who played Steve was dead, so I was especially glad to hear him there. I gotta make some time to watch the Extended Version soon. ~ I'D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR ~

This set has been in the making for at least four years. I talked with Michael Felsher (some dude at Anchor Bay, can't remember his title then) in 2000 and they were planning even then to do a 4-disc set. It was delayed and delayed, and then when Universal announced that they were doing a remake, AB decided to wait until that one was released to go ahead with it. It could been narrowed down to two or 3 discs if they used seemless branching, but it's still a good set. I likes the packaging a lot.  I'm gonna start taking it to bed with me at night. The comic is a lot of fun as well. | |
